New Earth Mountain Village
  Vision

Live Without Money.
Before our white brothers came to civilize us we had no jails. Therefore we had no criminals. You can’t have criminals without a jail. We had no locks or keys, and so we had no thieves. If a man was so poor that he had no horse, tipi or blanket, someone gave him these things. We were too uncivilized to set much value on personal belongings. We wanted to have things only in order to give them away. We had no money, and therefore a man’s worth couldn’t be measured by it. We had no written law, no attorney or politicians, therefore we couldn’t cheat. We were in a really bad way before the white man came, and I don’t know how we managed to get along without the basic things which, we are told, are absolutely necessary to make a civilized society. " - Lakota Sage Lame Deer (from John Lame Deer, Seeker of Visions).

The original vision
of the the New Earth Mountain Village is to create a lively, peaceful tribe/community among friends in the beautiful Canadian Wilderness.

We will have a full group discussion on location & other important details, when we have enough people & the time feels right. For now any input, ideas, considerations, thoughts etc can be shared in the General Discussion forum on this site, through email & in person, etc.

Members::
For those who are seeking to live peacefully in the natural world among friends. Those that have been awakened & share this purpose in life. So if your committed, please try to describe your passion for living in harmony with Earth in the members form. Though I know that for real it's beyond words
.

Building::
It would be ideal if everyone built their own home (with help of course). I plan to build a small additional home for new people to stay in while theirs is being built.
My home is an interesting one, I've posted some design details under Homes/Shelter on the forum page.

I love having projects to work on so I'll be able to help in additional construction - Homes, Dock, Earth ovens, Earth fridge, Stone stove bbq, Bathtubs, Hammocks, Beds, Cob sculpting, Tools, Instruments, Clothing & Blankets, Soap making & so on.

Location::
I'm thinkin near a lake, river or along an inlet on the West Coast of British Columbia.  It's much warmer than the rest of Canada ; )

I had thought about Oregon & the western United States but aparently they pretty much get the same weather as bc. & although I know there's some pretty chill places in the states I'd still like to avoid it.. There's too many roads, too many cities & the government people there are far too insane.
To me, Canada has a more peaceful laidback vibe right now.

Idealy I would like to be in the mountains/on the coast, but again, that's up for further discussion.

Food & Shared Spaces::
Fishing.
We will have our own food gardens or a shared food forest (that we all contribute to).
Perhaps a small longhouse for gatherings?

A main firepit of course.
A food preperation hut, away from camp.

I'm thinkin an annual art & music festival aswell.

Visitors & Volunteers::
- Family members & close friends are welcome to visit of course.
- For those of you interested in helping out or volunteering.. I appologize but we will most likely not be accepting a lot of visitors, as this is a small tribe community.

....
There are a few guidelines that I would very deeply appreciate everyone adheres to..
- Our location will only be shared with members & their families, for security reasons.
  So it will not be posted all over the internet.
- Everyone is treated equaly & with respect. There is no "government".
- There is no such thing as fighting, we live peacefully with the land & with eachother.
- This is a postive vibe community, so that means no stress & hatred.. etc. ; )
- Everyone holds their own & helps eachother.

It's very important to me that there is no fighting & no negative energies among us. It will mean a lot that we live up to the New Earth Community name.

Mondays are meshed with Tuesdays and the week with the whole year. Time cannot be cut with your weary scissors, and all the names of the day are washed out by the waters of night. No one can claim the name of Pedro, nobody is Rosa or Maria, all of us are dust or sand, all of us are rain under rain. They have spoken to me of Venezuelas, of Chiles and of Paraguays; I have no idea what they are saying. I know only the skin of the earth and I know it is without a name. When I lived amongst the roots they pleased me more than flowers did, and when I spoke to a stone it rang like a bell. It is so long, the spring which goes on all winter. Time lost its shoes. A year is four centuries. When I sleep every night, what am I called or not called? And when I wake, who am I if I was not while I slept? This means to say that scarcely have we landed into life than we come as if new-born; let us not fill our mouths with so many faltering names, with so many sad formalities, with so many pompous letters, with so much of yours and mine, with so much of signing of papers. I have a mind to confuse things, unite them, bring them to birth, mix them up, undress them, until the light of the world has the oneness of the ocean, a generous, vast wholeness, a crepitant fragrance. - Pablo Neruda.
